Dennis Köhrer studied engineering at the renowned RWTH Aachen
University and received his dental degree from the private University
Witten/Herdecke.
He began to specialize in endodontics and microsurgery early in his career and is actively engaged in modern technologies of endodontic treatment. He has been an early advocate for 3-dimensional diagnostics in endodontics. In numerous international courses and lectures he imparts his knowledge and has published several articles.
Due to his engineering expertise, he is involved in the development process of dental products and has invented the EndoCowboy®, an endodontic instrument for the retrieval of broken files. He is the founder and managing director of Köhrer Medical Engineering, a young and innovative medical engineering company that develops high quality instruments, products and treatment solutions.
Together with his brother he is leading a clinic with seven doctors where he continuously strives to perfect techniques and instruments for a higher level of patient treatment.
Hugo Sousa Dias
Graduated in 2008 in dentistry in Universidade Fernando pessoa - Oporto, Portugal. In 2015 he completed his post- graduation program in Endodontics at University of Lisbon - School os Dentistry, Portugal.
Lectured and gave hands-on courses worldwide: Poland, Japan, Spain, Slovakia, Hungary, Serbia, Brasil, Germany , Macedonia, Croacia, Portugal, Vietnam, Thailand, Turkey, Romenia and Greece.
Works in a private practice limited to endodontics in Oporto.
Director of the Endodontic Master program at foramen dental education - Oporto, Portugal since 2015. In 2019 started a new teaching project, Side By Side Custom endodontic made programs, for individualized training in endodontics. Conducts joint training programs with other colleagues, such as Antonis Chaniotis and Dennis Köhrer, covering topics such as Ledges, Separated instruments, Missed anatomies, Calcified canals.
Founder and active member of Portuguese Group for endodontic Study, organizing study club sessions in different parts of portugal. Member of Portuguese Endodontic Society and European Society of Endodontology.
Co-author in one chapter of the book: The Root Canal Anatomy in Permanent Dentition (Editors: Versiani, Marco A., Basrani, Bettina, Sousa-Neto, Manoel D. Springer (2018)

I did the Separated Instruments Retrieval with EndoCowboy Technique Training Course and I don't regret it. We often face ourselves with separated instruments in our clinical practice, where the bypass is difficult. There are many techniques for file retrieval but sometimes they are not easy to use. This course makes these clinical procedures more easy, by using a very effective loop device. The loops are very resistant which is great feature. After this course I've already used it in my clinical practice and it is undoubtedly a very useful tool.
